I live on campus so most of the time when I’m working I’m using the campus network/Internet. Is there any risk of the school intercepting/monitoring my activity? It’s a conservative school so I don’t want to get in trouble!

Yeah, anytime you use a public network like the one supplied by a school or library, they have the right to intercept and monitor all the activity on the network.

You should be extra careful. My advice: get yourself your own internet service, like an internet card or whatever you think is best. It will cost you but at least you can use the internet without the risk of being monitored.

I agree with Chloe. Even a somewhat “liberal” campus probably has some type of written policy against using their internet connection for any type of “pornographic” purposes. If they intercepted your broadcast, I’d be highly surprised if you didn’t get in trouble for it.

Ooo girl, this is a big no-no!! I know it’s hard sometimes to find other options when you live on campus but as the other girls have mentioned you’re running a huge risk of getting kicked out of school.
